A very merry Christmas

I hope this post finds you all well, and for those who celebrate I hope you had a great holiday filled with family and fun.

Christmas was good to me and my family this year. Along with unique items like a new office chair, some body-kun dolls, and Alice’s first set of roller skates, we got a ton of books and board games! 🙂

On the book front, you can expect reviews coming on the following titles: Visions in Silver by Ann Bishop, Cry Wolf by Patricia Briggs, Obsidian Son by Shayne Silvers, How to Write Dazzling Dialogue by James Scott Bell, and the illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling. There are also lots of awesome kid’s books for me to read with my daughter like the Wrenly series, a book of Lego construction ideas, and a collection of non-fiction books published by National Geographic.

As for games, we spent a good portion of yesterday playing through some of our new haul, and I’m looking forward to trying the rest. I may intersperse game reviews in with the books. 😉 We got: Legendary Villains, Indigo, Carcassonne, Fairytale, Tsuro, Monster Factory, Jaipur, Find it Fast, Cobra Paw, Beyond Baker Street, and Smarty Pants.

I couldn’t be happier with all these amazing gifts, especially knowing the hours of fun and entertainment my family will have enjoying them together. Here’s to an GREAT New Year!
